Utah Distillery Offers Limited Edition Vodka for Utah’s Pride Festival

With a rainbow-striped label showing five bare-chested men covering their genitals with roosters, Five Husbands Vodka seems to be trying to rub the Church of Latter-Day Saints – the political powerhouse in Utah – the wrong way.

“We are trying to poke a little fun at ourselves,” said Steve Conlin, CEO of Ogden’s Own Distillery, “and add some discussion and enjoyment to the Utah culture.”

The label isn’t the first time Ogden’s Own has tweaked the LDS Church.  In 2012 Utah authorities banned Five Wives Vodka.  That label featured women dressed in undergarments covering their private parts with kittens.

Ogden’s Own will be the first liquor company to sponsor the Utah Pride Festival.
