Select Aperitivo Revives Brand’s Classic 1920s Packaging

Select Aperitivo (Gruppo Montenegro) unveiled a redesigned bottle and label embracing its original Art Deco style and celebrating the brand’s rich heritage of nearly a century.

The new packaging was introduced during Tales of the Cocktail 2018 in New Orleans.

The new Select Aperitivo bottle design brings key elements of the nearly century-old brand’s history into focus: 1920, the year the spirit was founded, and Venice, the city where Select Aperitivo became the aperitif of choice in most fashionable cafes and clubs along the Canal Grande. Furthermore, the decorative curved shape of the bottle was inspired by the famous hand-blown glass artistry of Murano, a small island off of Venice where Select Aperitivo was later produced.

The Select Aperitivo label has been enhanced with a new logo to tell the story of its origin at the renowned Pilla Distilleries in the Castello district of Venice, the historical heart of the city.

The label notes that Select Aperitivo is made by carefully blending 30 botanicals, including juniper berries, for their balsamic and floral characteristics, with rhubarb root, which provides intensely bitter notes for balance.

The new back label details how the aromatic profile and balanced bittersweet taste make Select Aperitivo an irreplaceable ingredient in an Original Venetian Spritz – made with three parts prosecco, two parts Select Aperitivo, and one part seltzer, served with lots of ice and garnished with a skewered green olive.
