Scholarship Opportunities from Women of Vine & Spirits

Women of the Vine & Spirits, the world’s leading organization dedicated to empowering and advancing women in the alcohol beverage industry, announced today all scholarship opportunities through its non-profit arm, the Women of the Vine & Spirits Foundation, are now open for applications.

The Foundation will once again be offering its Professional & Leadership Development Scholarships which awards recipients with all expenses paid trip to the annual sold-out Women of the Vine & Spirits Global Symposium, March 9-11, 2020, and Educational Scholarships (awards recipients with either a student scholarship or a continuing education scholarship), and WSET Awards for course fees.

NEW this year

Women Behind the Wine Educational Fund — A portfolio of wines affiliated with E. & J. Gallo Winery contributed $100,000 to the Women of the Vine & Spirits Foundation for scholarship funding in 2019. The “Women Behind the Wine” Educational Fund, through its Wine Dialogues platform, will award women with monies for continuing education, including tuition grants toward Master of Wine, Master Sommelier, and regional grants within the wine, spirits, and hospitality industry.

McBride Sisters Collection SHE CAN Professional Development Fund — The McBride Sisters Collection contributed $37,500 to create the “McBride Sisters Collection SHE CAN Professional Development Fund” which will award scholarships for continuing education, career development and leadership coaching in the business of wine, with the goal to empower women to advance in leadership roles and pursue ownership within the wine industry.

The Women of the Vine & Spirits Foundation, Ltd. 501(c)(3) provides scholarships and awards for the purpose of helping women advance in the alcohol beverage industry through education, leadership, and professional development.
