In May a group of St. Louis businesswomen joined Sue McCollum, chairman/ceo, Major Brands on a trip to the Maker’s Mark Distillery when they created a custom private select bourbon blend.
Now McCollum is offering the bourbon to raise money for four local charities. Donor packages start at $1,000 which includes one bottle of the whiskey and two tickets to an event Oct. 4 where the whiskey will be unveiled. For $25,000 one can get five bottles of the bourbon blend, 10 tickets and presenting sponsor status.
“This is an opportunity for the St. Louis community to be part of the biggest bourbon barrel fundraiser of all time,” McCollum said in a statement. “This limited-edition blend is the first barrel created by all women, the first made by a distributor, and the first whose proceeds will go 100 percent to charity.”
