French Antitrust Officials Okay Marie Brizard Combination with COFEPP

COEFPP pumped €37.712 million into the struggling French bev/al firm, giving it 21.89% of Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits capital and 21.70% of voting rights.

Constance Benque, Christine Mondollot and Benoit Herault resigned from the board of directors. They will be replaced by Pascale Anquetil, Anna Luc, Cyril Cahart and Georges Graux, who was named chairman of the board.  At the next Annual General Meeting, the company’s by-laws will be amended to raise the age limit for the chairman, enabling Jean-Pierre Cayard to be appointed to that position.
