Diageo, Sazerac Settle Trademark Dispute

Both parties moved to dismiss the suit, which had been brought by Diageo. Diageo alleged Sazerac had diluted its Bulleit brand by redesigning the bottle and a label “in order to knock-off the appearance and unfairly trade on the reputation of the brand.”  The settlement was approved by U.S. District Judge Paul Gardephe in New York.
