Debra Crew to Lead Diageo North America as Mahlan Retires

Crew, 49, has served as a non-executive director of Diageo since April 2019.  She will step down from the board immediately and will succeed Deirdre Mahlan as president of Diageo North America on July 1.

Crew is the former president/CEO of Reynolds American Inc., where she served in several senior executive positions.  Before joining Reynolds, she spent five years at PepsiCo where she served as president, North America Nutrition; president, PepsiCo Americas Beverages, and president, Western Europe Region.  From 1997 to 2010 she was with Kraft Foods, Nestle and Mars Inc.  After earning her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, she served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of captain.

Mahlan joined Diageo in from Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Inc., in 2001 as part of the North America finance team becoming CFO of Diageo in 2010 and then president, Diageo North America in 2015.
