Vincent Indelicato Dies at 84

Vincent (Vince) Indelicato, who spent his childhood working in the Manteca cellars and vineyards of Delicato Family Vineyards, which had been founded by his father Gaspare Indelicato and his uncle Sebastiano Luppino, in 1924, died Dec. 17. He was 84

Currently in its fourth-generation of family members, Delicato has grown to rank among the top ten wineries in the United States in volume and farms over 3,800 acres of family-owned vineyards. Continue reading

Why Vineyards Were Untouched by Wine Country Fires, Even as Houses on Property, Urban Neighborhoods Burned

Here’s an oddity:  those fires in California wine country that have taken at least 40 lives, and burned 217,566 acres, and destroyed at least 10 wineries barely touched vineyards.
