Georgia Town OKs Liquor by the Drink . . .

Voters in Zebulon, Ga., approved, 42-23, the sale of liquor by the drink.  Only 8.6% of voters turned out for the election, which included nominations for governor and other state and local offices.

. . . While a Georgia Town OKs Drive-Through Liquor Stores

Lilburn (Ga.) City Council approved an ordinance allowing liquor stores to install service or drive-through windows.  The windows would have to have a canopy and be visible from street or sidewalk.

BND SCOOP: DTC Shipments, Value Up 15% YTD Through April

And April was a real winner, with direct-to-consumer shipments up 20% in terms of shipments and value, Larry Cormier, general manager, beverage-alcohol at ShipCompliant by Sovos, told Kane’s Beverage News Daily.

That follows last year, when ShipCompliant found DTC shipments and value were up a solid 15%.
