Brooklyn Distillery Settles Tax Case with TTB

Alcohol & Tobacco Tax & Trade Bureau said it accepted a $53,d668.75 offer in compromise by Industry City Distillery.  TTB alleged Industry City failed to pay $78,741.78 in federal excise taxes between July 1, 2015, and Dec. 31, 2017.

In accepting the compromise, the director of TTB’s National Revenue Center said there was doubt the full amount of taxes could be collected.  He noted Industry City submitted “supporting financial documentation.”
