A New Form of Police Abuse: Tickets for Non-Al Beer

A Longmont, Colo., police officer ticketed a man for violating the state’s open container law.  The problem:  The brew inside was non-alcoholic.  The police said that didn’t matter:  Because the beer contains a tiny amount of alcohol, it isn’t truly non-alcoholic.

The police said they made the stop because they believed the man was high on marijuana.
