Pittsburgh Brewing Sold; Buyer Not Named

Verus Investment Partners (“Verus”), a private equity firm, said it sold its portfolio company, Pittsburgh Brewing Co. (“PBC”).  Neither the buyer nor terms were released, and Verus didn’t immediately return our call.

Cutting Spending, Utah Solons May Axe Underage Drinking Program

Lawmakers created Parents Empowered in 2012 and required that 6% of all liquor sales go to fund the program, which encourages parents to take a more active role in preventing underage drinking.
