This LA Distillery Has World’s Largest Portfolio of Organic Spirits

Greenbar Distillery is a carbon-negative alcohol brand in Los Angeles that plants one tree for every bottle sold.  A standard two-ounce cocktail made with Greenbar liquor helps remove enough carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to make the average American carbon-negative for the day.  And it uses only certified organic ingredients, have lightweight bottles and recycled labels made from 100% post-consumer waste . . . and it’s planted more than 780,000 trees.  (Business Insider)

When Minneapolis-based 56 Brewing listed “the sun” as an ingredient in its Solarama Crush, we assumed it was just a cool way to promote its use of solar energy in beer production. But, wow, the truth of that ingredient claim went beyond the usual marketing speak. Wineries Innovate to Build Domestic Demand

Amid lingering trade uncertainties and a changing consumer market, some Northern California wineries are trying to get creative to maintain demand.

Among their efforts is to make their winery grounds more amenable to families traveling with children, holding grape juice tastings, play areas, visits with farm animals and outdoor games, according to a recent report by the San Francisco-based Wine Institute.  (Western Farm Press)
