Black Tears Malbec by Tapiz is from the winery’s single estate of San Pablo vineyard, one of the highest vineyards in Mendoza at 1,350 meters above sea level. The wine represents the best of San Pablo GI and indeed Uco Valley, a region of Mendoza renowned for producing some of Argentina’s best wines.
Approved in 2019 with 475 planted hectares, San Pablo is a GI based solely on the composition of its soil. Characterized by cold nights due to the proximity of the mountains and high elevation, Black Tears demonstrates the great intensity in color, aroma and structure that forms the potential of the new San Pablo GI.
