Tormaresca is updating its labels and line-up for the global market. The changes include creating a family-look to the three most important volume wines in the portfolio as well as giving the Rosé an engaging new look.
The winery has been producing a cabernet sauvignon under the Neprica label since the late 1990s. With 6 million bottles sold over two decades it has become the best-selling wine in the Tormaresca portfolio.
It has also produced a separate brand, Primitivo.
With the 2017 harvest, many of the vineyards where the Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown have come into full production, giving Tormaresca the capacity to expand the production of each varietal.
Those two varieties will now be marketed under the Neprica label. Primitivo will now be Neprica Primitivo and the cabernet sauvignon will now be Neprica Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2018 Chardonnay will continue to be marketed as “Tormaresca Chardonnay,” but its packaging will be in line with the new Neprica family.
In addition, Tormaresca Calafuria Rosato, one of the most successful Italian Rosés currently, has a fresh new look. The update includes a new capsule, embossed Cartouche representing Calafuria waves and a “Seaside Cove” label by artist Valeria Petrone that is an ode to the more than 700 bays present on the coastline of Puglia.
