Terlato Wines International has added Klipsun Vineyards to its stable, which includes such Napa Valley brands as Chimney Rock, Greystone Cellars and Jack Nicklaus Wines. Terms weren’t disclosed.
“It’s been 35 years. I’m tired,” explained Patricia Gelles, Klipsun’s owner and founder.
Klipsun has 120 acres on Red Mountain planted to seven varieties. Thirty wineries buy Klipsun’s grapes each year.
International Wine Associates, Healdsburg, assisted with the sale.
