Sonoma DA Settles Environmental Complaint

Hugh Reimer and his Krasilsa Pacific Farms SA agreed to a $925,000 settlement of an environmental complaint accusing them of significant damage of streams and wetlands while building a vineyard, under an agreement announced by the Sonoma County District Attorney.  The business will pay $425,000 in penalties and the cost of investigations, plus an additional $400,000 if it fails to comply with a cleanup order, plus a $100,000 credit for having planted 1,000 trees on the site.
