Sagamore Spirit, Baltimore, said it is donating 100% of all proceeds from its newest limited release rye whiskey to Ellicott City Partnership’s (ECP) flood relief and rebuilding efforts. Ellicott City, Md., experienced catastrophic flash floods this spring, devastating the area for the second time in two years.
Proceeds from the entire supply of Sagamore Spirit’s new Cognac Finish rye whiskey — an estimated 1,000 bottles — will be provided directly to ECP. The limited time offering product will be available for purchase solely at the Baltimore distillery.
“We want our friends and neighbors in Ellicott City to know that we stand with them. We’ve witnessed their strength and perseverance firsthand, and wanted to help the best way we know how, and help build the future that everyone who lives and works there deserves,” said Brian Treacy, President of Sagamore Spirit.
Cognac Finish is distinctly expressive at 105-proof, revealing notes of spice, honey, almond, and vanilla from its time spent in fine French cognac barrels.
Priced at $70 per bottle, Cognac Finish will be available for purchase beginning July 10 at its waterfront distillery’s gift shop at 301 E. Cromwell St. in Baltimore.
