Total beverage alcohol imports (including bulk and packaged) grew +7.5% by value over the last twelve months and grew +5.1% by value over the last three months, bw166 says. It adds 24.5% of all imported beverage alcohol by value came from Mexico over the last twelve months.
Total beverage alcohol exports (included bulk and packaged) grew +0.7% by value over the last twelve months and grew +6.2% by value over the last three months. Some 22.8% of all exported beverage alcohol by value went to Canada over the last twelve months.
Imported beer grew +3.9% by volume and 6.7% by value over the last 12 months. Over the last three months imports grew 3.5% by volume and 5.2% by value. 66% of imported beer by value comes from Mexico.
Exported beer grew 6% by volume and 12.6% by value over the last 12 months. Over the last three months, exports grew 10.8% by volume and grew 15.6% by value. Nearly one-quarter (22.5%) of all exported beer by value goes to Mexico.
Imported packaged spirits for the last twelve months grew 1.8% by volume and 10% by value. Over the last three months volumes declined 0.3% but grew 10.6% by value.
Imported bulk spirits for the last twelve months grew 8.1% by volume and declined -1% by value. Over the last three months volumes declined -5.4% and declined -11.4% by value.
Some 29.6% of all imported packaged spirits by value arrived from France while 52.1% of all imported bulk spirits by value arrived from Brazil.
Exported packaged spirits for the last 12 months declined 73.2% by volume and declined 39.8% by value. Over the last three months volumes declined 54.9% and 16.7% by value.
Exported bulk spirits for the last twelve months declined 3.4% by volume and grew 15.8% by value. Over the last three months volumes grew 18.2% and 19.1% by value.
About 21.4% of all exported packaged spirits by value is destined for Canada while 24.4% of all exported bulk spirits by value is destined for Brazil.
Imported packaged wine for the last twelve months grew 1.6% by volume and 7.4% by value. Over the last three months volumes declined 2.4% and grew 2.5% by value.
Imported bulk wine for the last twelve months declined -5.7% by volume and grew +1.2% by value. Over the last three months volumes declined -13.9% and declined -3.2% by value.
Where does all that psckaged imported wine come from? Some 33.2% of all imported packaged wine by value arrived from Italy while 25.5% of all imported bulk wine by value arrived from New Zealand.
Exported packaged wine for the last twelve months declined 11.5% by volume but grew 2.8% by value. Over the last three months volumes declined 17.6% and declined 5.9% by value.
