Pa. Reopens Online Sales, Site Crashes Because of Demand

Maybe it was seeing all those Pennsylvania cars in the parking lots of New Jersey liquor stores.  Or maybe it was the thought of all those tax dollars going to New Jersey.

Whatever the reason, Gov. Tom Wolf allowed Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to resume online sales.  The site promptly crashed. Even then, it’s not a full deal.

Access to the website will be randomized to avoid overwhelming the sit.  Customers will be limited to six bottles a day from a reduced catalog. Only one order will be shipped to an address each day.

Wolf maintains it’s a good thing to close liquor shops.  That’s “one less place disease can be spread.”
