If “normal” means the resumption of major league sports, target a date in mid-May. That’s when Major League Baseball expects to resume play, the league says, citing guidance from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.
Sportsbooks, however, say that’s highly unlikely. A resumption of major league play on July 1 is a toss-up, they say. Most are projecting Aug. 1 or sooner.
