Michel Roux, Built Absolut into Major Brand, Dies at 78

Absolut wasn’t his only triumph while president of Carillon Importers.  The other was Bombay Sapphire.  After losing Absolut and Bombay Sapphire to other companies, Roux quit, formed Crillon Importers whose portfolio included Absente liqueur, Agavero Tequila liqueur, and Barbancourt rum.
