Mass. Bay Brewing Intros 97 Calorie Cider Spritz

City Roots, a new craft cider brand that launched at the end of this summer by Mass. Bay Brewing Co., adds Cider Spritz to its cider line-up.

The new Cider Spritz is fermented from 100% fresh-pressed apple juice using a wine yeast that gives off a bright, zesty aroma with a hint of citrus, melon and pineapple. With a dry finish and some extra carbonation, Cider Spritz comes in at 4.3% ABV, 97 calories and 1 gram of sugar. It is also naturally gluten-free and contains no added sulfites, Mass Bay Brewing says.

As a member of the New England-based organization 1% for the Planet, City Roots contributes 1% of all sales to nonprofit organizations that focus on urban sustainability. Since its inception in 2002, 1% for the Planet has helped direct hundreds of millions of dollars to environmental nonprofits around the world.

Cider Spritz joins the City Roots Original Dry cider as a year-round offering, following seasonals including Rosé Cider and Pumpkin Cider.
