Major Brands, Inc. said it will offer 500 free rides home in Columbia for the Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival from Friday (9/27) through Sunday (9/30). This is the first time Safe Home has been offered for the festival.
Over the past 13 years, the festival has become one of Columbia’s favorite and well-attended local events, making it a natural fit for the program. The rides are provided through Safe Home, with support from partners Monaco Cocktails (Monaco), the nation’s leading spirit-based canned cocktail, and the rideshare company Lyft.
“We want to make responsible consumption part of every celebration. It was with this in mind that we partnered with Monaco and Lyft to provide attendees of the Roots N Blues N BBQ festival a safe ride home” said Major Brands CEO, Sue McCollum. “We are pleased to offer a program that ensures more and more people make it a habit to plan a safe ride home in advance and are thrilled to see the number of occasions continue to grow.”
Safe Home After Every Occasion™ is a 365-day-a-year social responsibility program designed to make planning a safe ride home before a night out a habit. The program’s mission is to take the next step in responsible consumption efforts—moving from designating a driver, to the easiest step of all, planning your ride home before leaving the house. To date, Major Brands has given more than 70,000 Missourians a safe ride home.
