Grgich Hills Estate Intros a Bordeaux Varietal Rosé Blend

Grgich Hills Estate released a 2016 vintage Bordeaux varietal blend for the first time. Initially previewed as a Wine Club member exclusive, this Rosé is now available for public purchase online through the winery’s website and at the tasting room in Rutherford.  The Rosé is the second limited release wine to be offered by the winery this year.  Grgich Hills Estate introduced a 40th Anniversary Chardonnay in March to commemorate the founding of the winery by Mike Grgich in 1977.

“We wanted to challenge ourselves to produce a wine style we had not released before,” says Vice President of Vineyards and Production Ivo JeramazViolet Grgich, Proprietor and Vice President of Grgich Hills Estate adds, “It’s our goal to continue to strive to craft the best possible wines while honoring our family legacy.  Introducing a classic European style Rosé allows us to showcase a complex varietal blended from all five of our vineyards.”
