Facundo Rum Collection, a proud supporter of the Latin American arts, provided the libations for the evening at Christie’s auction house in New York City as brand ambassador Robert Nieves served neat pours of Facundo Exquisto, a blend of dark rums aged between 7 and 23 years of age, as well as Facundo Paraiso, a dark rum aged between 23 and 25 years, preceding the lecture.
The lecture was dedicated to Juan Carlos Botero’s newly published work on his father, aptly titled “The Art of Fernando Botero.” The lecture was an unprecedented opportunity for guests to listen to, meet, and speak with the son of famous artist Fernando Botero, learning directly from Juan Carlos how his became the artistic icon we know today.
Shortly thereafter, at the cocktail reception held in the Christie’s galleries showcasing Latin American Art including the works of Fernando Botero, Facundo served Eximo Manhattan cocktails and Neo Pom Daiquiris at the two bars to an intimate group of guests as they viewed the artwork, please find cocktail recipes below.
The auction of Christie’s Latin American Art took place May 22 and May 23 in person in New York and will continue online through May 29.
