Edrington Buys Back The Glenrothes

Edrington Group sold The Glenrothes brand to Berry Bros. & Rudd, the London wine and spirits merchant, in 2010 but kept the distillery and cooperage.  Now it’s buying back the brand and will assume control of distribution in the U.S.

“We are very pleased to be reuniting the brand with its distillery and we know it will be an excellent member of Edrington’s leading family of premium brands, including The Macallan and Highland Park. We very much look forward to accelerating the growth of this award-winning single malt in international markets,” said Paul Ross, managing director of Edrington’s super-premium business unit.
