It will benefit the National Press Club Journalism Institute which promotes Freedom of the Press; funds scholarships; host awards for journalistic excellence; and conducts professional development programs.
The event is sponsored by the American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA), Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS), and National Press Club.
The event will feature a variety of spirits, including whiskey, vodka, gin, rum, cordials, and liqueurs – all made here in the U.S. by small producers. Guests will also have an exclusive opportunity to meet many of the spirits makers themselves as they mix and mingle throughout the event. A sampling of light fare will also be offered.
The tasting is open to adults 21 and over. Tickets, which are $10 for credential media; $15 for other National Press Club members; and $25 for non-members, can be purchased on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/spirits-of-america-craft-distiller-tasting-at-the-national-press-club-tickets-64229153126.
The distillers are in Washington for the annual public policy conference, a fly-in event cohosted by the American Craft Spirits Association and the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States.
