Iowa’s Cedar Ridge Distillery to Expand, Double Production

The Swisher, Iowa, distillery will spend $2 million over the next 18 to 36 months to expand its stillhouse, add equipment and construct a warehouse to store whiskey.

Castle Brands Posts a Profit as Sales Rose 6.5% in Quarte

Net sales increased 6.5% to $20.9 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2018, as compared to $19.6 million for the comparable prior-year period.  The firm posted a $280,622 profit. A year earlier it recorded a $489,854 loss.

Stoli Group to Build State-of-the-Art Distillery in Bardstown

“Kentucky Owl Park,” a 420-acre site at Cedar Creek Quarry in Bardstown, Ky., will also include rickhouses for aging product and a bottling center will house operations for the newly created American Whiskey Division of Stoli Group.

Explosion of Vodka Distillery Burns 2 Near Houston

The explosion occurred when an employee of B.J. Hooker’s Distillery was using an electric immersion blender to blend vodka, investigators said.
