“Our brewery is close to the fire and safety is our first priority,” Sierra Nevada Brewing said in a tweet. “As such, the Chico brewery will be closed until further notice. Please do not come to the Chico brewery.
“Many of you have so generously reached out about fundraising efforts and asking how you can help. At this point, we are entirely focused on making sure people are safe, but will follow up with more information shortly. Many of our employees are currently affected by this fire and we may be slower than usual to respond to messages. Thank you so much for all of your support. We are so grateful for the wonderful community we call home.”
A photo posted with the tweet showed just how close the fire was to the brewery.
Sierra Nevada noted that while most employees live in the immediate Chico area, many live in Paradise, which was completely destroyed by the fire.
