Bud Light Shines Spotlight on Harlem Bakery

The “Bud Light Thursday Night Shoutout” airs during NFL Thursday Night Football.  The intent is to drive more awareness to Black-owned restaurants across the country and to encourage football fans to consider dining at the establishments.

This week it’s New York’s turn as the Jets face the Denver Broncos in this Thursday’s prime time game and the brand is giving a shoutout to Make My Cake – a family owned operated business in the heart of New York City’s Harlem for over 20 years that is known for its German Chocolate Cake, Red Velvet Cake, or local favorite, Sweet Potato Cheesecake. You can see the spot, directed by local New York director Jason Harper, set to air this Thursday night here.

Additionally, Bud Light also partnered with food app directory EatOkra, created by local New York husband and wife team Anthony and Janique Edwards, to encourage viewers nationally to seek and support Black-owned restaurants in their own communities.
