Amarula will kick off its new campaign, “Don’t Let Them Disappear,” by hosting “The Disappearing Elephant” in the heart of New York City.
It will be a life-size ice sculpture of an elephant, which will melt and eventually vanish before spectator’s eyes. This installation will literally represent the plight of the African elephant, as one elephant is lost every 15 minutes to poaching. Following this moment, beginning Sept. 1 (and going on for the remainder of 2017), for every bottle of Amarula sold, $1 will be donated to WildlifeDirect to support their efforts to help save the African elephant.
The event will be free to the public as people are welcome to stop by and witness the Disappearing Elephant installation on their own time throughout the day, and learn more about Amarula’s partnership with Wildlife Direct and their combined efforts to protect the world’s remaining African elephants.
