A-B Acquires Final Stake in Michigan Cider Maker

Anheuser-Busch’s High End division has completed the acquisition of Virtue Cider.  The U.S. subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev had earlier acquired a majority of the company.

In related news, A-B says it doesn’t plan further craft beer acquisitions, but will grow its craft portfolio organically.  That decision might well reflect the fact that a brewer that is popular in a niche, regional market may not transition well to another part of the country, says Rich Deprey of the Motley Fool advisory service.
