4 a.m. Bar Closing Bill Advances in California

California State Assembly Appropriations Committee approved SB 905, a bill allowing bars to close as late as 4 a.m.

Alcohol Justice and the California Alcohol Policy Alliance “expressed horror” at the vote, saying the panel had ignored a recommendation from the California Department of Finance as well as a couple of reports submitted by Alcohol Justice that said a 4 a.m. closing is a bad idea.
