Pasote Extra Añejo ($189.99) is created with agave that has been baked, crushed and then fermented using natural yeasts before being double distilled with pure rainwater and natural spring water in 100% copper pot stills. With no glycerin, chemicals or flavors added, the result is pure handcrafted tequila. Barrel aging for 48 months in ex-bourbon American oak helps develop its rich flavors. Third-generation master tequilero Felipe Camarena crafts the Pasote tequilas.
“Pasote Extra Añejo is the ultimate expression of fine tequila,” noted August Sebastiani, president of 3 Badge Beverage. “Pasote is made with the finest ingredients and traditional production techniques by true craftsmen. The Extra Añejo debuts just in time for summer and is a real indulgence for the connoisseur.”
Named for the fierce spirit of Aztec warriors and their uncompromising commitment, Pasote was first introduced in 2016 with Blanco, Reposado and Añejo expressions. Pasote has enjoyed strong growth since its introduction, and sales are up over 9% over last year, the company says.
