Consumers Spent 1.7% Less on Imported Beer in August

And the volume of beer imported into the U.S. also declined – by 8% — in August.  It was the first month of import volume declines in six months, Michael Uhrich, chief economist, Beer Institute said.

August Beer Shipments Plunge 7.3%

Beer Institute estimated 14,169,000 barrels of beer were shipped in August, down from 15,290,205 barrels a year earlier.
