Baldor Specialty Foods, one of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic’s largest specialty food distributors, launched a new bar program that will expand its line of cocktail ingredients and introduce a line-up of highly-curated craft beers and ciders.
Baldor will now be able to provide its restaurants and bar clients with everything that’s necessary to mix the perfect cocktail and, in New York, a portfolio of crafted brews through its partners.
The portfolio of crafted brews includes its local partner, The Bronx Brewery, and their exclusive line up of B-Tracks brews that feature Baldor’s best seasonal ingredients. Albany favorite, Brown’s Brewing Co., Long Island’s Blue Point Brewery, Queens-based Bridge & Tunnel Brewery, Brooklyn’s Descendant Cider; Asheville, NC’s Wicked Weed Brewing and Chicago’s Goose Island Beer Co. join some uniquely rare, imported beers such as La Parisienne, crafted in Paris, and Weston’s Caple Rd Cider from the UK, to round out this diverse selection.
“This new program pays special attention to the other side of the restaurant experience: the bar,” explains Lars Dahlhaus, Baldor’s Beverage Director. “Baldor customers will have the convenience of one-stop shopping, industry-low minimum orders, and daily deliveries for all of their bar needs.”
Baldor’s new bar program has just about everything mixologists need, besides the liquor. The new cocktail offerings consist of an array of unique ingredients that consumers are looking for in today’s eclectic cocktail market – including bitters, tonics, exotic spices, infusion herbs, and purees.
“Cocktails and craft beers have become an integral part of the dining experience,” said Baldor CEO, TJ Murphy. “It only makes sense that Baldor provides its restaurants and food service partners with a selection of top-quality ingredients and beverages for the bar.”
Elements of the bar program will be rolled out to Baldor’s customers at regular intervals throughout the year, with tap takeovers and other special cocktail events in the pipeline.
