Rainier Beer, which has planted more than 100,000 trees across the Pacific Northwest as part of Tabs for Trees since 2014, is seeking to plant another 20,000 this year — 5,000 each in Washington State, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
Through the end of March, Rainier Beer cans feature a special red Tabs for Trees tab. The tabs can be turned in at more than 200 participating bars and restaurants across the region through the end of the month.
“Caring for the environment and the communities in the Northwest is central to Rainier’s culture and true to our brand,” said Rainier Brewing Company’s Brand Manager Michael Scott. “The Tabs for Trees program provides a special opportunity for us to make a positive impact on the health and future of our forests while sharing the experience with our employees, our loyal customers as well as newcomers to the region we call home.”
For every 24 tabs collected (the number of cans in a case of beer) and returned to Rainier, one tree will be planted to help sustain the forests of the Pacific Northwest.
