Millstone Spirits Group, parent of New Liberty Distillery, Philadelphia, has acquired Faber Distilling, Trumbauersville, Pa., at a bankruptcy auction for $1.4 million. The acquisition gives Millstone ownership of the Faber line, a pair of high-speed bottling lines and the 160,000-square-foot production facility in Trumbauersville.
One attraction, Millstone’s president told the Courier Times, is that corn, barley and rye are easier to get in Bucks County and to use there than to haul it into Philadelphia and back out again.
The bankruptcy was caused by a dispute among Faber Distilling’s partners.
