Pernod Ricard reports worldwide sales grew 6% (+5.3% reported) with FY19 sales driven mainly by Asia. In the Americas, sales accelerated in Canada, and there was strong growth in Latin America. U.S. sales were flat, dampened by wholesaler inventory optimization.
Its strategic international brands grew 7% thanks to strong growth for Jameson, acceleration of Martell and Scotch. Strategic local brands were up 12%, driven by Seagram’s Indian Whiskies. Specialty brands also saw sales grow 12%, while strategic wines fell 5%.
