E.H. Taylor Jr. Bourbon Marks Bottled-in-Bond Day

The Bottled in Bond Act, which was passed on March 3,1897, guaranteed the integrity of the whiskey to the American consumer, and among other things, guarantees only water can be added to the whiskey.

To mark the occasion, Buffalo Trace Distillery announced a single-barrel release of E.H. Taylor Jr. Bourbon hand selected by Chris Stapleton, the Grammy Award winner.

The barrel of E. H. Taylor, Jr. Bottled in Bond commemorative Chris Stapleton Single Barrel Bourbon is being donated to Stapleton’s charitable fund, Outlaw State of Kind.   Each bottle will be autographed by Chris Stapleton and will be used to raise funds for a variety of charities across the country.

This is the second year for the partnership between E. H. Taylor, Jr. Bourbon and Chris Stapleton’s charitable fund.  Two prize packs are available for bidding now through March 17, 2022 on charitybuzz:

  • One bottle of E. H. Taylor Single Barrel with commemorative sticker noting Bottled in Bond Day and partnership with Chris Stapleton; four tickets to Stapleton’s April 23, 2022 concert in Lexington, Ky; a VIP tour and tasting for four at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Ky; and E. The video showcases Checo’s passion and pride for Mexico as he reflects on his craft, innovation and hard work through a metaphorical journey following him along the dusty dirt paths of Jalisco’s highlands region—where Patron carefully handpicks its 100 percent Weber Blue Agave—to the modern streets of his home in Guadalajara, Mexico. The video aims to bring to life Checo’s passion and pride for Mexico that drives him to go to extraordinary lengths to achieve perfection, just like Patron.

Estrella Jalisco Sweeps Offers a $100,000 Grant

The grant, which offers $100,000 to one person so he can quit and unfulfilling jo and pursue his true life’s passion, is part of Estrella Jalisco’s new “Vive Tu Estrella” advertising campaign, which challenges its community to dare to live their lives authentically.

The campaign includes 6, 15 and 30 second videos that spotlight the courage of first-generation Mexican Americans who dare to “live their star” by being true to who they are in a collection of powerful vignettes – including a baile sonidero with a performer who boldly asserts his own style and an aspiring chef who proudly shows off his skills to his family.

According to a Pew Research study, Hispanics — especially first generation Mexican- Americans — are among the most likely to be employed in the U.S., with 80 percent holding a job. However, according to the Urban Institute, the average working Hispanic American is more likely than other racial or ethnic groups to hold a low-skilled job, which correlates with lower job satisfaction across the board.

Roe & Co., a premium Irish whiskey, invites LDA consumers to enter the “IrishQTest” sweepstakes to win a three-day trip for two to Dublin, Ireland.
