Onze acquired Maison Belle Claire Rosé and Maison Prestige Rosé from Romano Brands of New York.
“My dream was always to own wine brands and this affords me with the added opportunity to take these respected brands to another level,” explained CEO Danielle Dattile, who has been in wine and spirits distribution for six years, having held positions at Republic National and Empire Merchants in New York. “Owning my own wine importing business turns this into a reality. Because of my extensive network, I plan to also import Italian wines as well and take less prominent yet highly sophisticated European brands to new heights here in the US.”
Maison Belle Claire was trademarked in January of 2014; with a retail price of $17.99, it was named best value Rosé by Wine Spectator. The sophisticated, elegant and particularly dry Rosé was originally developed in Provence, France. The wine catapulted the entire subset of Rosé to the forefront of the industry when it was introduced to the Hamptons jet set crowd in the early 1990s. The brand is currently available in many states, through small wine distributors and throughout the Caribbean and Europe.
Onze said it will soon become the exclusive French wine importer for several Bordeaux wines.
