Museum of Modern Art Features New York Wines at Terrace Cafe

New Yorkers and travelers alike can now get a taste of the Empire State’s wine scene at the Museum of Modern Art’s Terrace Café for the foreseeable future as the restaurant began serving this selection of New York wines on October 21, 2019.

MoMA welcomes more than three million visitors a year, those (21+) are now able to sip distinctive wines from both the Finger Lakes and Long Island regions. The following six New York state wines are now featured on the wine menu at Terrace Café:

Bridge Lane by Lieb Cellars, Sauvignon Blanc, North Fork, 2018, $12

Macari Vineyards Chardonnay, North Fork, 2016, $14

Silver Thread Vineyard, “Good Earth White”, Finger Lakes, 2017, $12

Keuka Spring Vineyards, Saperavi, Finger Lakes, 2018, $12

Paumanok Vineyards, Festival Red, North Fork, 2017, $14

“When we had the opportunity to revisit the wine selections in the café’s, it only felt natural to offer something local to New York,” said Courtney Wieland, Wine Director of The Modern, USHG’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant also located within the museum. “I also am personally and professionally interested in what is happening in New York’s wine and grape growing scene right now. With many people visiting the museum every day from around the globe, we’re excited to offer visitors the opportunity to have a taste of what is happening within New York’s exciting wine regions.”
