The center will provide support in finance, accounting, human resources and procurement for the company’s North American operations. It will also enhance workforce planning and career development for employees.
Molson Coors will get up to $1.7 million in state income tax credits over the next four years, along with a $750,000 workforce training grant.
Earlier this year, Miller Coors broke ground on a $50 million expansion of its Tenth Street brewery, which primarily produces Leinenkugel’s and other craft beers. That project is expected to create 65 new jobs while expanding capacity to 250,000 barrels a year from 25,000.
Marty Maloney, a MillerCoors spokesman, said Milwaukee was chosen for two reasons. First, there’s enough space to accommodate the company’s needs, and, second, there’s an existing shared services center.
