Kansas Governor Laura Kelly signed HB 2016 which extends the sale of to-go alcohol under Executive Order No. 20-27 until January 26, 2021.
Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S. praised the action with a statement from Dale Syndrowski, vp-state government relations:
“In state after state, cocktails to-go have proven to be a vital lifeline for local bars and restaurants struggling to cope with the economic impacts of COVID-19,” Szyndrowski said. “Extending this consumer-friendly measure into next year will provide hospitality businesses throughout Kansas with an important revenue source as they slowly begin to recover.”
