Heineken Volume Slips in U.S., but Grows 8.3% Worldwide

The U.S. decline was “mid-single digit,” the Heineken N.V. reports this morning.

That’s on the Heineken brand itself.  Heineken said its “all beer volume” grew organically 4.3% to 52.7 million hectoliters.

Not surprisingly, the strongest growth was in Asia-Pacific, followed by the developing countries of Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Jean-François van Boxmeer, Chairman of the Executive Board / CEO, said the positive growth “across all regions (occurred) despite the later timing of Easter, underlining our continued focus on growth and the breadth of our geographic footprint. The Heineken brand volume was up 8.3%. Our outlook for 2019 remains unchanged, we anticipate our operating profit (beia) to grow by mid-single digit on an organic basis.”
