Harpers Ferry Brewery Launches a Beer Just for the Washington Redskins

“Sell the Team” – which the brewery describes as “bitter and slightly disappointing like a day at FedEx Field.” – takes dead aim at the Washington Redskins owner, Dan Snyder.

The Redskins – often called “The Deadskins” by people in the Washington metropolitan area — is 139-185-1 since Snyder – a lifelong fan – bought the team in 1999.

It’s a “double west coast IPA finished at 9.5% to get you through another dreadful Sunday.  Bitter and slightly disappointing like a day at FedEx Field.”  It’s available in-house on draft by the pint and growler fills only.  If the brewery figures out how to do cans or bottles, it should do really well…. Our opinion.

For keg sold between now and Monday, the brewery says it will donate money to the Tree of Life Pantry to cover the cost of Thanksgiving dinners.  “22 kegs=22 Thanksgiving dinners.  Let’s do that!” it says in a Tweet.
