Robert Foye left the Australian producer abruptly owing to a breach of the company’s code of conduct. Deputy Chief Operating Officer Tim Ford, who has been overseeing TWE’s U.S. operations in the Napa Valley since 2017, was named to succeed him.
While TWE wouldn’t provide details about the breach, it emphasized it had nothing to do with the company’s sales.
Foye joined TWE in 2014. He and TWE CEO Mike Clarke had worked together at Coca-Cola Co. early in their careers. Foye was named COO in May 2017, and it was generally thought he would succeed Clarke as CEO.
Among Treasury’s bullet-point code of conduct is that employees “maintain a work environment free of discrimination, harassment and bullying”, have a “zero tolerance to bribery and corruption”, “ensure our personal business, financial and other outside interests do not conflict with our duty to TWE”, “ensure that our behavior does not negatively influence and impact TWE’s reputation” and “maintain confidentiality of all customer, TWE and other parties’ information gained through our work”.
