Cerveza Patagonia Enters 13 States

The Anheuser-Busch product is being launched for consumers statewide in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, George, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Montana and Wyoming.

The beer is described as boasting a golden color, slightly sweet taste, and a refreshing, crisp finish with a 5.4 percent ABV.  It’s brewed in the U.S. using the finest barley and hops, including Cascade hops from the Patagonia region of South America. It is currently available on draft, and in 6- and 12-packs.

As part of the rollout, which follows successful testing in two Colorado markets last year, the premium lager will plant a tree for each case sold.

Cerveza Patagonia is honoring those who dedicate their lives to protecting our forests. The brand’s first #Cervezas4YourService honoree is Missoula, Mont., based Director of Reforestation and Partnerships at National Forest Foundation, Wes Swaffar. An avid conservationist, outdoor enthusiast, and former Wilderness Ranger, Swaffar has dedicated his life to protecting our forests, leading the NFF’s ambitious campaign to plant 50 million trees in America’s National Forests.

“With Cerveza Patagonia, we want to inspire people to get outdoors. Beer drinkers can enjoy a premium lager with an authentic South American heritage to help quench their thirst, and feel good about doing their part to protect their local forests,” says Harry Lewis, VP new brands, Anheuser-Busch.  Lewis invited consumers to nominate additional heroes who protect the outdoors at CervezaPatagonia.com.

A-B noted that by brewing Cerveza Patagonia in the U.S., the company is minimizing its global carbon footprint, while providing a fresher product.
