Montana Lawmakers to End Lottery, Sell Liquor Licenses

If you want a liquor license in Montana, get read to pay up.  The state’s lawmakers are considering a proposal to sell new licenses to the high bidder.  Currently, they are issued by lottery.

Iowa Lawmakers Keep Ban on Importing Beer, Wine

But the law continues to allow distilled spirits to be brought into the state. By and large, the law isn’t enforced.  Police say enforcement would be too big a drain on personnel and manpower levels.
